Coverage

Communities we deliver to

We run dumpsters out of our 1535 Benning Dr yard across every corner of Columbus and out into Muscogee County and the Chattahoochee Valley. If your community is not on this list, call us anyway. We probably still get there.

Before you call

Have these four things ready

  1. 1

    The delivery address

Street address, and if access is tight — a narrow driveway, an alley, a shared lot — mention it. Older South Columbus blocks and some of the rural addresses out toward Harris and Chattahoochee counties can be tighter or harder to find than a standard Columbus street; we plan around it either way.

  2. 2

    What is going in it

Household contents, roofing, mixed construction debris, furniture, yard waste — and flag anything Georgia regulates separately, like paint, solvents, oils, tires, batteries, hazardous chemicals, gas cylinders, propane tanks or medical waste, so we can route it correctly instead of loading it in with everything else.

  3. 3

    Where it should sit

Driveway, curb lane or jobsite. In most cases, placement entirely on your own property needs no permit; a street or sidewalk placement in Columbus runs through the Department of Engineering — tell us when you book and we'll walk you through it.

  4. 4

    When you need it

Same day, tomorrow morning, or a set date — and roughly how long you want to keep it. Extensions are easy to arrange, but planning ahead is best.

Permits

Property vs. public right-of-way

On your own property

A dumpster that sits entirely on your own driveway, yard or lot generally falls outside the City of Columbus's public right-of-way rules — that covers the large majority of jobs we deliver across Columbus and Muscogee County. Every lot and every street is a little different, so if you are not sure where your property line falls, ask us or the Columbus Consolidated Government Department of Engineering when you book and we will tell you plainly before the truck ever leaves the yard.

On the street or sidewalk

Placement in a public street, on a sidewalk or anywhere else in the public right-of-way in Columbus falls under the Columbus Consolidated Government Department of Engineering's permitting process, applied for through the city's own online permit portal. The exact duration limits and any safety-marking requirements that apply to a dumpster specifically are worth confirming directly with the Department of Engineering when you call — we will walk your street situation through with you and help you sort out what's needed before delivery day, not the morning of.

Answers

Contact questions

What information do you need when I call?

Four things, and the call takes about two minutes: the delivery address, roughly what you're throwing away, where you want the container to sit, and when you need it. If you're unsure about the size, describe the pile and we will size it. A photo of the driveway or curb helps if the placement is tight.

Do you serve my community?

We cover Columbus and Fort Benning, Fortson, Midland, Cusseta, Ellerslie, Waverly Hall and Upatoi — 7 communities in all beyond Columbus proper, spanning Muscogee County, Harris County and Chattahoochee County. Just outside that? Call anyway — we can usually make it work.

What are your hours?

Mon–Sat 7:00am – 6:00pm. Deliveries and collections run through the working day. Ring outside hours and you can leave your address on a message — we'll call back first thing.

Can I email instead of calling?

You can email info@cgsdumpsterrental.com and we'll reply, but the phone is far quicker for anything time-sensitive. Sizing a container is a conversation — two questions on a call usually settles what an email thread will not. For same-day delivery, always ring.

Is there a charge for a quote?

No. Quotes are free and given over the phone, not an estimate that moves later. We'll also tell you when a smaller container does the job, which is the opposite of what a pushy sales pitch does.

Do I need a permit for my address?

Depends where the container sits. In most cases, a container entirely on your own driveway, yard or lot needs no city permit. A public street or sidewalk placement in Columbus runs through the Columbus Consolidated Government Department of Engineering — mention it when you call and we'll walk you through exactly what your job needs.
