Learn more40 yard roll-off
The largest container we run, and a specialist tool for construction and commercial work. Eight feet of side wall, about 12 pickup truck loads of volume, and the wrong choice for anything heavy.

Specifications
22 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 8 ft high
40 cubic yards — about 12 pickup truck loads
5–6 tons in the flat rate
About 25 ft long × 10 ft wide, plus door swing
Debris needs to stay below the container's top rail on every size so our driver can haul it safely — that holds whether it lands on your driveway or, with a City of Columbus right-of-way permit, a public street.
Is this the one?
The 40 yard exists for one situation: a large quantity of light-to-mixed construction or remodeling debris with somewhere open and level to put the box. Large commercial fit-outs and office strip-outs — Columbus is home to a real corporate footprint including Aflac, Synovus and TSYS/Global Payments — plus warehouse and light-industrial clear-outs and major whole-property renovations near the RiverWalk and downtown riverfront are where it earns its keep. Open commercial parcels and the larger rural lots around Ellerslie and Waverly Hall tend to suit it better than a tight residential driveway.
It's rarely the right call for a standard residential lot. At 22 ft long × 7.5 ft wide, the footprint is the same as a 30, but the walls stand 2 feet taller at 8 ft, which makes hand-loading over the rail genuinely hard work, and concrete, dirt, brick and block stay off this size entirely — that heavy material still routes to a 10 or 15, and it still has to be kept separate for Pine Grove Landfill to accept it. If your site is tight or the load is dense, a 30 delivered twice, or a 30 paired with a 10 or 15, is very often the faster and more practical plan. Tell us the job when you call and we'll size it honestly rather than default you to the biggest box on the list.
Straight advice: Only take a 40 if the material is genuinely light-to-mixed and the site is open, level and reachable. Concrete, dirt, brick and block never go in a 40 — call for a 10 or 15 alongside it instead, and keep everything below the top rail for our driver to haul safely.

Same flat pricing model across all five. The real question is which weight allowance matches your material — heavy debris, roofing, or a construction phase.

About 22 ft long by 7.5 ft wide by 8 ft high — the tallest container we run, and it needs an open, level, reachable spot to sit for the length of the job.
Rarely. It suits large commercial fit-outs, warehouse and light-industrial clear-outs and major whole-property renovations better than a typical single-family lot. For most Columbus-area homes, a 30 — or a 30 delivered twice — is the more practical call.
No. Heavy material never goes in the 40 — it belongs in a 10 or 15 regardless of the size of the rest of the job. Call us and we'll run the two containers together if the project needs both.
Not if it sits on private property — a large lot, driveway or loading area, which covers most 40 yard deliveries we make. If it needs a public street instead, that's a City of Columbus right-of-way permit, and for a container this size we'll walk the exact spot with you first and point you to the Department of Engineering to confirm it clears.
